Tixel Skin Resurfacing

A GROUNDBREAKING TREATMENT FOR SKIN REJUVENATION

Using thermo-mechanical energy and with two treatment types, Tixel delivers results with little to no downtime and minimal discomfort. The deeper, ablative level results are comparable to deep skin peels and intensive laser treatments and can even be used on the eyelid and tear trough for a safe, non-surgical eye lift. The lower level, or open-channel, treatments allow for increased absorption of topical products enhancing results of skin rejuvenation, depigmentation and restoring your skin’s natural glow. We offer complimentary consultations in our Olympia medical spa. If you would like to learn more about the benefits of Tixel, book your appointment online or call us at (360) 338-0289.

WHAT IS TIXEL?

Medical spa Tixel device with transparent tip showcasing internal mechanics on skin surface.

Tixel skin rejuvenation involves gently stamping a small heated metal plate of tiny pyramid-shaped cones onto the skin’s surface, without damaging deeper skin tissues. It is not a laser, but instead it utilizes thermo-mechanical ablative (TMA) technology to create tiny channels into the skin. Tixel simply delivers controlled heat at a high temperature directly to the skin, which stimulates new collagen formation to improve skin quality. The channels formed can be immediately used to deliver products into the skin that address skin concerns such as tightening, pigmentation, rosacea, or acne scarring.

Tixel is suitable for use on the face, neck, decolletage, hands and around the eyes. Unlike laser or needling treatments, Tixel can be used on the eyelid and tear trough for a non-surgical eye lift.

OPEN CHANNEL is the lighter treatment level. The heat applied to the skin creates channels in the upper layer of the skin. The channels can be immediately used to deliver products into the skin that address concerns such as skin laxity, pigmentation, rosacea, and skin texture. There is little to no downtime and you can return to normal activities the next day.

ABLATIVE is a deeper treatment that is used for rejuvenation and treatment of fine lines, wrinkles, and scarring. Results are comparable to those of a fractional CO2 laser resurfacing treatment or deep chemical peel. Recovery time can vary, and for 2-3 days, the skin can be pink and small micro- crusts will develop and fall off.
