Skin Rejuvenation & Hair Restoration

Platelet Rich Plasma, also known as PRP is a concentration of platelets and growth factors drawn from your own blood. Platelets are a rich source of proteins which can stimulate stem cells to help restore fibroblast activity and hair follicles.

By utilizing your own blood, we isolate the plasma which then becomes a condensed suspension of your own growth factors. PRP condenses and stimulates peripheral growth factors and stem cells at the delivery site to regenerate and to create collagen and elastin fibers. Essentially using your body's natural capacity to heal and renew itself.

After your initial consultation with Dr. Peizer, your skin will be cleansed and numbed with a topical numbing agent. Then through a simple blood draw we collect and centrifuge using Progen PRP Flexible Platelet Rich Plasma system to separate the PRP from the blood cells. The concentration is then administered to the face and neck or the scalp (hair restoration).

We offer the most comprehensive PRP treatment for optimal results. Our PRP face lift utilizes both micro-needling and injections in the face and neck. This ensures an optimal skin restoration and a lift throughout the entire area. Same applies for hair restoration to achieve maximum benefit. The procedure is minimally invasive and recovery time is brief. Results typically take 4 to 8 weeks to see and a continued improvement for 6 months. When receiving PRP for skin rejuvenation your results achieved lasts for about 2 years. Recommended protocol for Hair Rejuvenation is every 4 months for a minimum of 5 treatments.

How does microneedling work?

Microneedling is based upon the skin’s ability to naturally repair itself when injured. Immediately following an injury, our skin begins the process of dissolving tissue damage and replacing it with new cells. Microneedling allows for controlled stimulation of the skin’s self-repair process by creating precise, micro-injuries in the skin, which automatically triggers new collagen formation without causing scar tissue or any damage to the skin. These micro-injuries create channels that allow product to penetrate deeper into the skin resulting in better efficacy.

PRP + Microneedling + Injection for Skin

PRP is typically combined with microneedling treatments to act as a “booster” for even more dramatic results. This liquid gold substance has concentrated amounts of growth factors taken from your own blood. It is microneedled into the skin allowing it to saturate into the open micro-channels from microneedling. This kickstarts significant collagen production in the skin, which repairs damaged skin resulting from acne scarring, breaks up sun spots and hyperpigmentation, tightens lax skin, plumps out fine lines and wrinkles, reduces pore size, and refines texture. Once PRP is in the skin, it essentially plants itself in the deepest layers to continuously produce collagen over time for extended results- majority of results seen in 2-6 months. It is considered a natural filler and can be injected to plump out areas that have experienced volume loss. At Omni we inject into your areas of concern (determined at consultation) to get an even higher volume of this “liquid gold” gold into those areas for that “filler” look.

PRP + Microneedling + Injection for Hair

PRP for the non-surgical, non-invasive treatment of alopecia areata and androgenetic alopecia (hereditary male or female hair loss) is available at Omni Centers. There is significant evidence that PRP offers improvement in hair growth in many patients. Cytokines and growth factors locked within the platelets can be concentrated and released, then injected into the areas of alopecia (hair loss), stimulating hair regrowth. This treatment starts with a numbing of the scalp. After numbing a 5x concentration (compared with 2x concentration that is recommended for the face) of PRP is injected into the scalp in the areas of hair loss or thinning. Injections are followed by microneedling of the platelet poor plasma (PPP) that is left over from PRP into the scalp and additional stem cells or growth factors may be added. This liquid gold PRP substance has concentrated amounts of growth factors taken from your own blood. The injections “wake up” hair follicles and the microneedling allows nutrients from our topical solutions and PPP and additional nutrients and growth factors to enter through the open micro-channels. A majority of results seen in 2-6 months. This treatment is general is recommended to start with a package of 3 and an AnteAGE Stem Cell Hair System. The doctor may make other recommendations such as testosterone blockers, either oral or topical, to treat any underlying causes for hair thinning or loss.

How is PRP obtained?

Your blood is made up of four main components: red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and plasma. Platelet Rich Plasma is a platelet concentrated component from your own blood that contains nutrient rich cells and protein growth factors.
Platelets are tiny cells that circulate within our body and bind together when they recognize damaged blood vessels. Platelets are made in your bone marrow along with your white and red blood cells.
Plasma is the largest component of your blood, making up about 55 percent of its overall content. The primary purpose of plasma is to transport nutrients, hormones, and proteins to the parts of the body that need it.
Unfortunately not, and this is where it can get confusing. It has been said that “All PRP is NOT created equal!” The quality, strength and duration of the PRP hair regrowth treatments are directly related to the preparation protocols, centrifuge settings, and preparation kits. At Omni we use the Bellus Medical ProGen PRP System, the safest technology and most advanced PRP system in the industry, equipped with fully customizable product volumes and platelet concentrations designed to meet your unique needs.
Yes. PRP is immunologically neutral and poses no danger of allergic, hypersensitivity or foreign-body reactions. A closed, sterile technique is used in every stage to prevent infection. A brief period of inflammation/redness at the site of application is normal and expected, indicating the action of the PRP. Visible swelling in the forehead is expected in less than 10% of patients and may last for a day or two. In order to determine if you are a good candidate for PRP Hair Regrowth, a comprehensive medical consultation with Dr. Lauren is recommended
