WHAT IS PRP

Platelet Rich Plasma, also known as PRP, is a concentration of platelets and growth factors drawn from your own blood. Platelets are a rich source of proteins which can stimulate stem cells to help restore fibroblast (cells that make extracellular matrix and collagen) activity in the skin and wakes up dormant hair follicles.

By utilizing your own blood, we isolate the plasma which then becomes a condensed suspension of your own growth factors. This condensed form of PRP stimulates peripheral growth factors and stem cells at the delivery site to regenerate and to create collagen and elastin fibers. Essentially using your body's natural capacity to heal and renew itself.

Stretch marks and Scars- PRP treatments generate the production of new collagen and elastin by releasing platelets/ growth factors into the cells helping the skin look tighter and promotes healing from within. Find out more about PRP treatments for stretch marks and scars here.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE OMNI PRP FACELIFT

After your initial consultation with Omni Centers’ medical staff, your treatment will start with your skin being cleansed. A topical numbing agent is then applied to the treatment area. From there, the process to extract your platelets begins with a simple blood draw. Your blood is collected into special tubes which are then spun down to remove red blood cells, leaving the platelet rich plasma. Our PRP face lift utilizes both micro- needling and injections using the PRP we just collected in your areas of concern on the face and neck. We offer the most comprehensive PRP treatment to help ensure our results leave you with optimal skin restoration and a lift throughout the entire area. When you leave you will be red (from the micro- needling) and your skin will feel tight from the PRP. You can expect to look back to normal within two to three days.

HOW DOES IT WORK

The PRP Facelift revitalizes the skin by sparking cellular regeneration and elastin and collagen production. Skin rejuvenation treatments lift and tighten facial tissues, while diminishing wrinkles; lessening the effects of photo aging and the appearance of pore size; reducing scarring; correcting fine lines and improving surface texture. Our PRP Facelift uses the SkinPen microneedle device which creates a pattern of micro channels in the treatment area. These micro channels allow the growth factors in PRP to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin to leave the skin smoother, fresher, and more uniform. Platelet-rich Plasma (PRP) contains 8 potent natural human growth factors and 3 different cytokines that stimulate the fibroblasts in the dermis to become active. The growth factors in PRP then travel through the microchannels caused by microneedling to the dermis, maximizing the amount of stimulation to produce collagen and elastin.

WHY WE MICRONEEDLE AND INJECT

Microneedling takes advantage of the skin’s ability to naturally repair itself when injured. Immediately following an injury, our skin begins the process of dissolving tissue damage and replacing it with new cells.

PRP + Microneedling + Injection for Skin

PRP is combined with microneedling treatments to act as a “booster” for even more dramatic results. This liquid gold substance has concentrated amounts of growth factors taken from your own blood. Microneedling it into the skin allows it to saturate the open micro-channels left from the device. This kickstarts significant collagen production in the skin, helping to repair damage in the skin resulting from acne scarring, sun damage or aging. It breaks up sunspots and hyperpigmentation, tightens lax skin, plumps out fine lines and wrinkles, reduces pore size, and refines texture. Once PRP is in the skin, it essentially plants itself in the deepest layers to continuously produce collagen over time promising extended results from the procedure. We have seen that the majority of results can be expected to be seen over 2-6 months. Because PRP can be considered a natural filler and can be injected to plump out areas that have experienced volume loss, we also combine PRP injection in your treatment. At Omni, a qualified physician or nurse injector will inject the PRP into your areas of concern (determined at consultation) to get an even higher volume of this “liquid gold” into those areas to help achieve that “filler” look naturally.

ARE YOU A GOOD CANDIDATE

You're a good candidate for the PRP facelift if you are looking for a minimally-invasive cosmetic treatment that reduces the visible signs of aging and improves the overall health of your skin. Visible signs of aging can include uneven skin tone, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles and other signs of aging. PRP therapy is a popular facial rejuvenation option for many patients because it has quick treatment sessions, brings long-lasting results and requires little to no downtime. The best candidates are in good health (healthy people have healthier blood). In contrast, you are not a good candidate if you are a smoker because nicotine from cigarettes increases blood pressure and lowers platelets. You should also avoid platelet- rich plasma injections if you are a heavy consumer of alcohol as alcohol diminishes your body’s capacity to release stem cells.

COMBINING PRP WITH OTHER TREATMENTS

One of our most popular PRP combo treatments is PRP as an add on to Radiofrequency Microneedling.

Vivace Radiofrequency (RF) Microneedling takes the micro- needling to the next level adding heat in the deep layers of the skin. In addition to the benefits seen with the micro- injury provided by the microneedles, RF microneedling also delivers RF energy deep into the dermis. This further enhances skin tightening and scar revision and stimulates the pro- duction of collagen and elastin. The micro-channels from the Vivace remain open significantly longer than micro- needling alone and the PRP solution can be applied to the skin, seeping into these open channels enhancing the results even more. Add on PRP to your Vivace treatment at 50% off retail price! See Vivace RF Microneedling for more information.

PRP can also enhance the results of several other treatments offered at Omni Centers.

BEFORE & AFTER

FAQs

Platelets are tiny cells that circulate within our body and bind together when they recognize damaged blood vessels. Platelets are made in your bone marrow along with your white and red blood cells.
Plasma is the largest component of your blood, making up about 55 percent of its overall content. The primary purpose of plasma is to transport nutrients, hormones, and proteins to the parts of the body that need it.
Unfortunately not, and this is where it can get confusing. It has been said that “All PRP is NOT created equal!” The quality and results of the PRP Facelift treatments are directly related to the preparation protocols, centrifuge settings, and preparation kits. At Omni we use the safest technology and most advanced PRP system in the industry, equipped with fully customizable product volumes and platelet concentrations designed to meet your unique needs.
Yes. PRP is immunologically neutral and poses no danger of allergic, hypersensitivity or foreign-body reactions. A closed, sterile technique is used in every stage to prevent infection. A brief period of inflammation/redness at the site of application is normal and expected, indicating the action of the PRP.
Since the PRP Facial stimulates your body to make its own new cells, the beneficial effects are permanent. However, your face and skin will continue to age as it normally would. Best results are achieved with periodic treatments.
A repeat PRP Facelift can be performed as soon as one month after the initial treatment. Some clients with more extensive needs will benefit from a stacking treatment strategy. Depending on skin, age, history and desired outcome a series of 3-4 PRP facelifts may be recommended. In other cases, treatments may be recommended once per year. The best recommendations for you will be made at the time of your consultation.
You will notice some immediate improvement in your skin. Full benefit can take a month to develop with full results generally seen 4-6 months after treatment.
Your face will be red and irritated, there is a possibility that some bruising will take place. In most cases, people feel comfortable going back to work the next day, it will depend on your circumstance.
Adverse effects are rare with PRP facelift. However, exceptions do occur and may include infected skin, bruising, red and irritated skin, changes in color, and minor swelling.
The standard PRP facelift can be augmented by the addition of a specialized injectable dermal fill product. The fills are organic hyaluronic based products. The fill option is most helpful for people with greater tissue deficits, more extensive wrinkling, or a desire to augment lips or other parts of the face. The organic fill product will work with the specialized platelet rich plasma to create a powerful age reversing effect. The decision whether or not to add a fill product to your PRP facelift will be made at the time of your initial consultation and will be personalized to your objectives.
The best time to begin is when you start to notice initial changes. This can be as early as late 20s depending on your genetics and your skin type. By starting early, greater skin preservation can occur with less intense and less frequent treatments.
In some cases of severe skin sagging or tissue atrophy, the PRP facelift may not achieve the goals you have in mind. In that case, it will be best to combine it with a surgical therapy such as a facelift or other modality. At your consultation a very honest and thorough assessment of your objectives, and our potential to meet them will be undertaken.
