OMNI CENTERS SCAR & STRETCH MARK REDUCTION

WHY CHOOSE OMNICENTERS?

While scars and stretch marks are challenging to address because elements of different layers of the skin are disrupted, which can be difficult to regenerate, Omni Centers has top of the line devices to reduce the appearance of scars and stretch marks. In most cases, a combination of therapies will yield the best results. At Omni Centers we offer a variety of modalities that can be used individually or in combination depending on severity of scarring and patient history and goals. In addition to devices in the office, your Omni Centers Skin Expert is also able to recommend topicals, which can help to work synergistically with devices to regenerate and restore the layers of the skin and reduce or even eliminate stretch marks all together. SCARS

When the body suffers a trauma, an injury, accident or burn, the skin can react by forming a scar. These markings can be either subtle, or quite noticeable, causing one to feel self-conscious. Recent medical advancements include techniques to help individuals with unwanted scarring such as filler injections, chemical peels and lasers. There are many types of scars and some of the most frequently treated at Omni Centers are acne scarring and C-section scars. C- section scars are some of the deepest scars because they penetrate the entire thickness of the skin and can cause a dysmorphic fat appearance (abnormal difference in appearance of body structure or fat), and with the technology available, we can penetrate the layers of skin and improve appearance. Acne scarring can be especially traumatic and along with treatment or combination treatment options for scarring, at Omni Centers we can help to discover underlying causes and reduce future breakouts.

STRETCH MARKS

If you experience stretch marks, then you are not alone! Many women and men experience stretch marks and want them removed or the appearance diminished. Stretch marks are a form of scar that occur when the skin is stretched faster than its ability to grow, leaving the skin thinner in those areas. In these overstretched areas, the production of collagen, which is the major protein that makes up the tissue in the skin, is disrupted. Stretch marks can be purple, reddish, or be indented and have a different texture than the surrounding skin.

TREATMENT OPTIONS FOR SCARS AND STRETCH MARKS

Vivace: Radiofrequency Microneedling creates controlled thermal damage in the dermis and stimulates a wound healing response which initiates collagen remodeling improving the texture and color of stretch marks and scars. Vivace needles are able to release heat directly into the skin allowing it to diffuse deep into the tissue.

Microneedling: The formation of these micro-channels causes the activation of growth factor release and stimulates collagen production. This new collagen is deposited and then helps to improve the appearance of the scar by restructuring the skin. This results in scars with less defined edges and a softened, smoother texture.

WiQo: PRX-T33 is an extremely versatile product because it can be used on its own or in combination with the most common cosmetic techniques to enhance their results. It is a peel-less chemical peel that penetrates deep into the skin. This new method of needle-free bio-rejuvenation can be used to reduce appearance of stretch marks, scars while smoothing and improving tone and texture of the skin.

PRP/PRF: Platelet-rich plasma or platelet-rich fibrin scar injection therapy (or in combination with Microneedling) minimizes or eliminates scars by stimulating connective tissue cells called fibroblasts and epidermal cells called keratinocytes. PRP/PRF can help rebuild structures by increasing the level of bioactive proteins, known as growth factors, in damaged tissues. Platelet-rich plasma and fibrin are prepared from the patient’s own blood, so there is zero risk of allergic reaction. Platelets contain 17 known growth factors which initiate healing by signaling to surrounding cells. Growth factors such as vascular endothelial growth factor, epidermal growth factor, and connective tissue growth factors. When these skin-related cells are produced in a greater quantity, new collagen is created. With the production of new collagen and elastin and by releasing platelets/growth factors into the cells it helps the skin look tighter and promotes healing from within.

IPL: Intense Pulsed Light delivers controlled tissue trauma to activate skin’s healing process through production of new skin cells and destruction of fibrotic tissue in the scar. It uses short pulses of light to target pigment and vascularity while altering DNA expression of cells resulting in improvement in color, texture and pliability of scars.

Fillers: Hyaluronic Acid Fillers are used with atrophic scars. A clinician injects the filler below the surface of the skin to help bring the scar up to the level of surrounding tissue.
