WHY QWO CELLULITE TREATMENT?
About 90% of women will have cellulite at some point in their lives, compared to just 10% of men. Cellulite isn’t fat or a result of living an unhealthy lifestyle. So while eating a healthy diet or putting in extra hours at the gym may be good for your body-it won’t get rid of your cellulite. The good news is that we now have a nonsurgical cosmetic treatment that can do just that.
We are excited to be one of the first practices in Thurston County, Washington to offer a proven nonsurgical solution: QWO. This new injectable medicine is FDA-approved as safe and effective for the treatment of moderate to severe cellulite on the buttocks, and it has proven successful with cellulite elsewhere as well.
DO I NEED A QWO CELLULITE TREATMENT?
The ideal candidates for QWO include healthy patients who are seeking a nonsurgical solution to smooth away dimpled skin on their bottoms and elsewhere. The best way to determine whether QWO is right for you is to meet with our specialists for a complimentary consultation. Same-day treatment may be available, so be sure to ask when scheduling your consultation.
QWO CELLULITE TREATMENT BENEFITS
A key benefit of QWO is that it’s an injectable medicine that requires no surgery and no downtime. The procedure can be performed in just minutes, and about 10 weeks following your initial treatment, you can expect to see noticeable results - smoother skin with significantly reduced cellulite.
HOW DOES QWO WORK?
Cellulite is caused by fibrous bands beneath the skin that create the appearance of dimpling, lumps, and bumps. QWO works by breaking down those fibrous bands, redistributing fat, and stimulating collagen to smooth cellulite away.
BEFORE & AFTER
Over time our skin thins. Fibrous bands under the skin thicken and cause tension - pushing fat cells against the skin wall contributing to the dimpling or cellulite look.
QWO (collagenase clostridium histolyticum-aaes) is a prescription medicine which targets the releasing of those hardening fibrous bands under the skin and works to redistribute fat cells while stimulating the growth of new collagen. The results are the diminished appearance of dimples and depressions, leaving you with smooth healthy-looking skin.
Patients do not need anesthesia and can immediately go about their normal day after treatment. Injection site bruising, areas of hardness, itching, redness, swelling and warmth in the treatment area can occur.
