The Beginner’s Guide to CoolSculpting at Omni Centers

CoolsculptingWith so many body contouring treatments out there today, it can be difficult to find one that is safe and actually works. That's where CoolSculpting comes in. A nonsurgical alternative to liposuction, CoolSculpting targets small, stubborn pockets of fat that aren't easily reduced with diet and exercise.

Here are answers to the most commonly asked questions about CoolSculpting.

How does CoolSculpting work?

CoolSculpting uses controlled cooling, aka cryolipolysis, to safely freeze and destroy unwanted fat cells. Your body naturally and permanently eliminates all those dead fat cells over several weeks to months after a CoolSculpting treatment.

What does CoolSculpting feel like?

The machine, with a specifically-sized applicator attached to it depending on the treatment area is strapped to you. As treatment begins, you’ll feel a light vacuum pressure and an intense cold, similar to an ice pack. After 5 minutes or so, the area goes numb, making the treatment fairly comfortable. It’s common for people to read, watch videos, work on their laptop, or even take a nap during their treatment. When the freezing process is complete, the treated area may temporarily sting a little as the skin returns to its normal temperature.

Which areas of the body does CoolSculpting work best on?

CoolSculpting is ideally performed over small, stubborn problem areas that you are having a difficult time eliminating with diet and exercise alone. The most popular treatment areas are the stomach, arms, love handles, thighs, and the pesky double-chin area.

What results should I expect from CoolSculpting?

The average response to CoolSculpting is 20% to 25% of fat reduction in the treated area. Many people undergo multiple treatments to achieve their desired outcomes. Since your body eliminates fat cells in the days and weeks following a treatment, you might start seeing results as quickly as four weeks after treatment. Most people see noticeable results anywhere from one to four months post-treatment.

Even though the fat cells in the treatment area are permanently gone, untreated areas stay the same. It’s important to maintain a healthy diet and exercise routine.

Are there any side effects?

Unlike surgery, possible side effects of CoolSculpting are mild, and may include bruising, tingling, numbness and soreness. Symptoms typically go away within a few days to a few weeks after treatment. That’s why it's so important to go to a trusted provider. Administering CoolSculpting takes skill, and if done incorrectly, can lead to uneven results.

Is financing available for CoolSculpting?

At Omni Centers, we understand the decision to undergo some procedures may involve considerable investment. That’s why we have partnered with Cherry Financing to make treatment more affordable. Cherry Financing allows you to get treated now and pay later.
