Plasma Pen Fibroblast

PRECISE SKIN REJUVENATION

As we age, the production of collagen and elastin in the skin slows down resulting in wrinkles, laxity, and sagging. FDA- approved Plasma Pen treatments at our Olympia, WA, med spa renews the skin resulting in tighter skin that is noticeably firmer, smoother, and brighter.

WHY PLASMA PEN?

The Plasma Pen device is used to perform fibroblasing, a technique that stimulates the production of collagen in the skin. This non-invasive treatment targets a variety of skin concerns on the face and body, which commonly include:

  • Sagging skin on the eyelids, jawline, and neck
  • Crow’s feet, forehead lines, vertical lip lines, and other wrinkles
  • Acne scars
  • Stretchmarks

Plasma Pen may be a good option for those looking for an alternative to cosmetic surgery procedures. During your consultation, one of our providers will review your concerns and determine if Plasma Pen treatment is right for you.

HOW DOES PLASMA PEN WORK?

Plasma Pen Fibroblasting uses a pen-like device that discharges a high-frequency electric current to small areas of the skin. The device doesn't directly touch the skin, but instead releases a targeted current just above the skin. The hot current creates small micro-injuries in the skin's top layer, while heating the deeper dermal structures to activate the skin’s natural healing process and increase collagen production.

BENEFITS OF PLASMA PEN

Plasma Pen is highly versatile and has been effective in smoothing out wrinkles and tightening the skin, lifting and rejuvenating practically any area, including the:

  • Forehead
  • Eyelids
  • Cheeks
  • Around the mouth
  • Neck and chest
  • Arms and elbows
  • Abdomen
  • Back
  • Thighs and knees

PLASMA PEN PROCEDURE

We perform Plasma Pen treatments in our med spa. Your provider will first use a local anesthetic to numb the skin, so you stay as comfortable as possible. The length of your treatment will depend on your specific areas of concern. This is a physician-directed treatment.

Most patients attain their desired results with one treatment. However, depending on your goals and the areas you’re looking to target, you may need two or more. We’ll create a customized treatment plan during your consultation.

Plasma Pen fibroblasting is ideal for Fitzpatrick 1-3 (Fair to medium skin- Northern European and some mediterranean descent). Darker skin tones (African American, African, Latin, Native American, Indian, Middle Eastern, Asian ancestry and people of mixed ethnicities) may not be good candidates for Plasma Pen as there is a higher risk of hypopigmentation.
Here at Omni Centers we used a prescription grade compounded numbing cream and then a secondary numbing agent that allows for a fairly comfortable treatment overall.
Yes, you will be able to drive. The majority of swelling (primarily in the eye area) will start the day after treatment.
The Plasma Pen is a FDA cleared device for skin fibroblasting. Other fibroblasting devices are often referred to as Plasma Pen but are not the actual trademarked device. Other competitor’s devices can be purchased from China for as little as $10 and are not true plasma technology. These pens are not suitable for professional use and can be dangerous. Many of the technicians performing fibroblasting are not professionally trained. There are many contraindications for fibroblasting including but not limited to certain medical conditions, medications and skin types. Do your homework and be very cautious.
